Sage spells out June 30, 2010 as final day of life for MAS90 and MAS 200 v3.71
I must have missed the formal announcement but right here in front of me on the Sage Supported Platform Matrix in big bold letters are the words:
Support for version 3.71 will be discontinued on June 30, 2010
This is not a huge shock. Sage hasn’t sold version 3.71 in many years and only recently had grudgingly let older customers buy their way onto a bare bones maintenance plan that allowed them to pay less money to stay at 3.71 while still being eligible to buy user licenses and new module licenses.
Looks like the party’s over. According to the February 11, 2009 technical document – all support for Sage MAS 90 and MAS 200 will come to a final close June 30, 2010.
So far as I am aware the MAS 200 SQL product line is unaffected. As those of you on MAS 200 SQL undoubtedly are aware, the MAS 200 SQL product isĀ in a version “time machine” of sort – being stranded back in a no-mans land of version 3.74. I have a hold on anything related to the MAS 200 SQL product line until we can get better clarification on where this product line is headed (or not headed).
Please talk to a competent Sage VAR prior to doing anything with MAS 200 SQL.
